What is International Champagne Day? “It’s a global celebration of real Champagne, from the Champagne region of France,” Oggenfuss explains. “It’s easy for everyone to join in. Just open a buy a bottle (or two) of Champagne­has to be the ‘real McCoy’—and invite some friends to join you in enjoying the bubbles.”  Keeping in mind this is a global party, people can participate and follow along on Twitter by logging into HootSuite or Tweetdeck (or another type of Twitter management software) and set up a search column for #Champagne. Oggenfuss explains, “That will be the hashtag you use to keep up with your fellow Champagne drinkers around the world. Or of course you can also join in via Facebook, Ustream or whatever other social media network you love,” he says.
