Quake rattles nerves and bottles in California Wine Country

3.2 magnitude earthquake rattled through California’s Wine Country early Tuesday, jolting residents awake and sending out a loud rumble close to the quake’s epicenter near Napa.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 5:40 a.m. about three miles southwest of Napa.
Officials told KTVU they did not get any reports of damage. However, local residents commented on the KTVU’s Facebook page that they were jolted awake.

Jill Gill in Napa said her lights went off and on.

“I live in Napa and more than the shake,” she wrote. “The noise it made is all I can think about. My lights when off and on.”

Fellow Napa resident Tanya Fairbanks said her house rocked.
