An Epic Day at Theuniskraal

If you’re a cycling enthusiast, make your way to Theuniskraal, South Africa’s very first white wine estate, early on March 20 for on that day the contestants in the Absa Cape Epic mountain- bike race will enjoy a scheduled stop-over on the farm. Theuniskraal, which is located in the picturesque Tulbagh valley, has been chosen as the second of three water stops for the day. The first cyclists are expected at around 9:00. It is the main spectator point along the day’s route and the final place from where to encourage the riders.

A range of activities will be on offer to entertain supporters. Visitors can taste the farm’s excellent wines at no cost. Delicious Dalewood cheeseboards that include brie, camembert, blue and Huguenot cheese and biscuits, will be on offer. Theuniskraal wines will be on sale throughout the day and visitors to the tasting centre will be able to sit back, relax, and take in the special atmosphere of the estate. Members of the local community will be offering delicious food from the valley.

The festivities will run from 08:00 to 15:00. For further information, please contact the estate on 023 230 0687 or [email protected].
