Lebanese Cooking Classes at Haskell Vineyards

Haskell is shaking things up for a few weeks by offering cooking classes with Ghenwa who runs Lebanese Cooking Classes, as well as offer cheese platters in the tasting room for you to enjoy with a bottle of wine or with a wine tasting. These offers are valid for only three weeks from the 27th of August to the 16th of September.

Chef Ghenwa is a first generation Lebanese who has extensive knowledge of Lebanese, Levantine and Mediterranean cuisines and is known for her organic and health oriented approach to cooking. Her love and dedication to this art is overwhelming and her enthusiasm is nothing short of contagious. Add to this her detailed knowledge of a vast array of exotic spices and their health benefits and you will be treated to an unforgettable experience of learning how to prepare an exquisite 5 course menu that will include 3 starters, a main dish and a dessert, all prepared to match the fabulous selection of Dombeya & Haskell wines.

The workshops start at 9 a.m. and last app. 3 hours and every participant will receive detailed written recipes for every dish presented.

As careful attention is given to using fresh produce, a detailed menu will be posted on facebook one week prior to each workshop.

The price is R495 per person per workshop and this includes, in addition to the above described, the 5 course lunch (served after the workshop), tasting of the Dombeya & Haskell wines, some surprises “complements of the Chef” and a complementary bottle of Dombeya wine for take away (discount of 10% is given to people booking all 3 workshops).
