The Karoo Oyster Shot

The Karoo Oyster is a South African twist on the classic Prairie Oyster.

It’s the perfect “regmaker” created by cocktail bar Cause Effect in Cape Town.

Ingredients

  • 1 Yolk of a quail egg
  • 10 ml Brandy
  • Salt pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Vinegar

Instructions

  1. Break the egg into a glass without breaking the yolk.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the glass as per your taste.
  3. Open up wide and swallow.
