They say when life gives you lemons, throw a tequila party! Lockdown threw a curveball at the restaurant industry, but during this time, Bertus Basson successfully launched ‘At Home’ meal boxes to bring the cuisine he creates at Eike and Overture into our kitchens.

Now that all of the restaurants are fully operational again, Bertus and his team tweaked the meal box option and are proud to introduce Picnic-in-a-Box – a perfect summer choice for an end-of-year celebration!

What’s In The Picnic Box

two ciabatta loaves, olive and caper spread, whipped green fig butter, spicy tomato pickle, Bertus Basson onion marmalade, Dalewood Huguenot and traditional Brie, mosbolletjie grissinis, home-smoked sirloin pastrami, soy and chilli glazed smoked chicken breast, a creamy garlic dressing, pickled cucumber and red onion, crisp gem salad, young carrots, radish and a mustard vinaigrette, Somerbosch strawberry patch.

Cost: R500 (serves two people and includes two bottles of water) 
Collection: Pick up at Eike Wednesday to Saturday – delivery can be arranged for larger groups.
