New talent in Waterkloof`s cellar

Waterkloof, the conservation-minded wine estate perched high on the slopes of the Schapenberg in the Helderberg Winelands, has released the 2013 Sauvignon Blanc vintage under its acclaimed Circumstance label – the maiden pride of new cellarmaster Nadia Barnard. We asked her:

DAILYFIX: Can you describe what your Circumstance Sauvignon Blanc 2013 tastes like?

WATERKLOOF CELLARMASTER NADIA BARNARD: This elegant white wine exudes freshness on the nose with dominant aromas of stone fruit and fennel whilst it carries an elegant mineral core and a range of complex flavours, along with great persistence. On the palate it has a well-balanced acidity and a lingering richness.
