Premium Independent Wineries of South Africa (PIWOSA) will be hosting their Flight Club competition, for local wine professionals, for the first time in South Africa, at CapeWine 2018 on 13th September.
The aim of this competition is to demonstrate the quality of South African premium wines when tasted against some of the best wines in the world. This extraordinary competition has been hosted around the world over the past 5 years and only one person to date, a sommelier from Singapore, has emerged as a winner.
Sixty local wine professionals have registered for The Flight Club (it’s fully booked) and hopefully one or more will rise to the challenge and outshine their international counterparts.
There is a fantastic prize up for grabs: an all-expenses-paid trip to Burgundy in France for a week. See additional information attached.
