The Sun shines on Languedoc-Roussillon…

Languedoc-Roussillon

2013 was a challenging year for many regions in France. Languedoc-Roussillon producers however express that this vintage has been one of the best in many years, providing just the right amount of sun and rain to deliver wines with finesse. Read more about the vintage in a recent the drinks business article.

This large wine region stretches from Nimes and Montpellier in the east, around the Gulf of Lyon to the Spanish border. Improvements in viticulture and vinification are leading to a number of styles from the Languedoc-Roussillon and all of these styles deliver great value for money wines.

One of our most recent arrivals from the Languedoc is Les Vignes de Bila Haut Rouge 2012 (WA 91) from Chapoutier.

This wine over-delivers at only R 120 per bottle and makes for great every day drinking wine.
