Top South African and Top Australian – a blind tasting

Dear Wine Friends,

Please join SASA board members Higgo Jacobs (RSA) and David Clarke (AUS) for an unrepeatable tasting of some of the top wines of South Africa and Australia.

We will be hosted by the good people at Ace + Pearl, an exciting new wine bar in Craighall Park.

A cache of top Australian wines has been sitting in the SASA cellar waiting to be put to best use – and we are putting them up against their South African equivalents. Blind. The Australian wines were put together by David, while the South African wines were chosen by Christian Eedes, taking into account style and matching vintage as much as possible – we want to look at like-for-like.

We will be looking at the wines in blind flights, with the wines to be revealed after each flight. This tasting will only happen once, as we only have one bottle of the Australian wines, so places are extremely limited.

This is a seated tasting.
