The results of the 2015 CAPPA port and wine challenge were recently announced. Among the top awards are the following:
Cape Ruby: Groot Constantia took top honours followed by runnsers-up Muratie and Du Toitskloof.
Cape Tawny: Boplaas took top honours with their Bin1880, with KWV as runner-up and Boplaas NV with silver.
Cape Vintage: Boplaas took top honours as Best in Class, followed by Axe Hill, Boplaas 2013 and Peter Bayly as gold medal runners-up. De Krans and Badsberg both also attracted gold.
Museum Class: KWV took top honours with their 1948 tawny port, Boplaas was runner-up with their 2004 Cape Vintage Reserve, and Peter Bayly and De Krans both attracted gold with their 2005 and 2002 vintages respectively .
