Restaurant wine list awards: the future

One of the many innovative features of our weekly RECM best value blind tastings held at the Pendock Wine Gallery @ Taj, is the upload of ratings and comments on wines tasted to Vivino, a smart phone app with over 5 million users. Vivino has now launched a Verified Wine List initiative that takes restaurant wine lists to the Next Level.

Verified Wine Lists
Coming To A City Near You
The Verified Wine List feature has been a huge success in San Francisco! It turns out people really want to see a restaurant’s wine list paired with ratings and reviews to improve their ability to pick a great wine.

Based on user feedback we’re excited to announce we are expanding the feature to New York and Copenhagen starting in August.
We’re not done yet and we want you to tell us which cities we should we cover next? Sao Paulo, Los Angeles, Rome? Let us know via the links below or shoot us an email
What’s a Verified Wine List?
Verified Wine Lists pairs the wine lists from a city’s top restaurants with the ratings and reviews from over 5 million Vivinousers. By doing so, anyone can now navigate a wine list and pick a great bottle of wine. No more guessing if a wine will be good or not, check the wine before you dine.

Standard Bank should stop messing and get behind the future, rather than waste yet more shareholder funds on their own discredited Diners Club Wine List of the Year Awards with the usual SA wine luvvies checking restaurant wine lists for spelling mistakes. Yawn!
