The Uva Mira Sauvignon Blanc vines are planted on the highest vineyards on the Estate, on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain range, facing False Bay. The early morning sea breezes cool the vines, which contributes to the superb natural acidity and freshness in the wine. Decomposed granite soils contribute to the minerality on the palate.

The Mira Sauvignon Blanc 2017 has triumphed at the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon 2018, taking home Gold. The Concours Mondial du Sauvignon attracted over 950 entries from 26 countries with judging held in Gratz, Austria. Wines are tasted blind and judged by a panel of 70 international experts from 18 countries. Only 11 wines from South Africa were awarded Gold medals.

The Story Behind the Name
This wine tells the story of a loving couple and the term of endearment shared between them, Sing-a-Wing. The poem written by O.T.V. Senior to his wife, Margaret, on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary, is shared on the back label of this Sauvignon Blanc.
The exceptional delicate flavours of select parcels grown on the Estate deemed them worthy of being released as the Sing-a-Wing Sauvignon Blanc.
