At Napa Valley Commons in south Napa, wineries may be close to a few vines planted in the parking lot. Yet the setting is no chill factor to wine lovers who drive there to taste and buy wine and tour wineries, dock, tanks, barrels and all.

Wine lover Jennifer Gibbons of Napa came to Spelletich Family Wine Co. at Napa Valley Commons during last month’s Morning in the Winery, a special event Napa Valley Vintners organizes annually to introduce residents to wineries close to home. Gibbons, who loves Rutherford Hill Winery in Rutherford, had never been to Spelletich.

“I think there’s room for all different kinds of wineries,” said Gibbons, one of about 50 visitors who stopped by the winery, one four five wineries featured during the Napa Valley Vintners’ event.
