They sure know how to make a good wine, but did you know that many of the Western Cape’s winemakers can also catch a wave with skill too?

Forty-five of them showed off their surfing skills on some small but clean surf at the Jongensfontein Point on Friday, August 15 at the Rip Curl Vintners Surf Classic 2014.

For the past 15 years an ever-growing group of vintners have gathered once a year to celebrate two common passions: surfing and the art of making good wine.
