Creation Harvest Festival 2015

Saturday evening 11 April saw the Creation team celebrating our 2015 Harvest with suppliers, clients and friends from the local community. Local Pastor Johnny Willemse from Hemel-Rand led in a prayer of blessing and gave thanks for the harvest while those present generously contributed towards the needs of Diepgat Primary, a small neighbouring school.

The harvest of course is a team effort and our hearty thanks go to all who participated: the Creation vineyard team under Peter Davison and George Daniels for delivering such exceptional fruit to the cellar, the cellar team (including our enthusiastic interns) for their dedication and hard work, our chefs for constantly fuelling the work with good food and the Tasting Room team (especially Phillip) who kept everyone going with tasty lunch treats and early evening braais. We look forward to sharing the bounty of our harvest with you over the coming months and years! To view a video and pics of our Harvest Festival, click here.

We also wish to thank those present at our Harvest Festival for their kind donations to the Diepgat Primary School. Thanks to your generosity we are now able to start supplying some much needed items such as filing cabinets, a printer, school shoes and jackets for the kids for winter and a school fence. In case anyone would still like to make a donation or a contribution in goods or time, you are welcome to email [email protected].

To plough our many blessings back into the Hemel-en-Aarde community, Creation is also currently working on a bigger project with Pebbles and the Cape Wine Auction. We hope to include some healthcare and sickbay facilities, transport solutions for getting the children in the Hemel-en-Aarde to and from school and after-care for scholars and pre-primary education.
