Reuben Riffel is one of South Africa’s foremost exponents of culinary culture, rising to prominence with his eponymously named restaurant in Franschhoek in the heart of the Cape Winelands. It therefore comes as no surprise that he firmly believes in the principle of pairing food with wine – a recurring theme in his Signature Living with Reuben television show which regularly hosts wine estates from across South Africa. Carolyn Martin, marketing director at Creation Wines, recently appeared on Signature Living where she paired the Creation Viognier and Syrah, Grenache blend with Chef Reuben’s Braised Chicken and Peaches served with Lemon Rice.
