La Motte Announces New Classical Music Concerts

Inspired by La Motte’s owner Hanneli Rupert-Koegelenberg, music lover and celebrated mezzo-soprano, classical music concerts are presented in the beautiful La Motte historic cellar, where a sociable atmosphere enhances the finest performances.

With new Covid regulations in place, La Motte is delighted to announce concerts for March and April. Make a reservation to enjoy the sunset beauty of the Franschhoek Valley and classical music performed by artists of the highest esteem.

27 March: Easter Concert

Carel Henn (cello) and Elize Kruger (piano) perform an Easter inspired programme with works by Saint-Saëns, Paganini, Faure, J.S Bach, Jenkins, Grieg and more.

17 April: Trio de Musique

Thomas de Bruin (flute), Cheryl de Havilland (cello) and Albert Combrink (piano) return to La Motte with an Autumnal programme of music by Beethoven and Brahms.

Concerts start at 19:00, performances last for an hour and guests are invited to stay for a glass of La Motte wine. La Motte Estate’s gates only open at 18:00.

Please note that because of Covid-related social distancing, the concert hall in the estate’s historic red wine cellar will only be filled to half of its capacity. Only 40 tickets are available.

Reservations are essential and valid only after receipt of admission. No refund can be made if a reservation is cancelled.

Please note that La Motte requires photo identification (Passport, Identity card/document or Driver’s licence) for security check-in.
