The Congolese comprise one of the most vibrant communities in the rainbow society that is Cape Town. Last week, we had the wonderful spectacle of a colourful demonstration outside the Cape Town Club in Queen Victoria Street. Led by a small person in yellow, it was so much more stylish than the #feesmustfall affairs.

The problem is Mr. Kabila, a president who refuses to submit to an election. Sound familiar? But at least the Congolese know how to dress for a demo.

I do hope they come around this afternoon as we’re having a Domaine des Dieux tasting here at the Club from 5-7pm. God Bless Africa as we sing in our National Anthem.
