Sparkling John B Brut Rosé Cupcakes

Introducing, the new, funky and fizzy John B Brut Rosé 2019. This dry sparkling wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and provides a clean and crisp pallet with hints of raspberry and elderflowers.

To celebrate the release of the Brut Rosé, we decided to pair the wine with a great recipe for paella, grilled chicken or a delicious risotto… but instead of using the wine to complement the food, we thought: “Why not use the bubbly in the recipe?”

And that is when we came across- bubbly cupcakes!

Super easy to make and impossible to flop, these Brut Rosé cupcakes are the perfect treat!

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of Sasko vanilla cake mix (icing included)
  • 2.5 cups of John B Brut Rosé
  • 0.5 tsp of vanilla essence
  • Raspberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the dry cake mixture in a mixing bowl together with 1.5 cups of bubbly. Mix with a hand mixer until smooth. Pour the batter in greased muffin pans and bake as instructed on the box.
  2. Next place the icing mixture in another bowl with 1 cup of bubbly and whisk till all lumps are gone.
  3. Wait for cupcakes to cool down before spreading the icing on top.
  4. Garnish with some raspberries and enjoy!
