TweetCritique visits Tables at Nitida

There can hardly be better place to spend a Cape Town late summer lunch than at the beautifully located Tables at Nitida Restaurant. Surrounded by lush green grass and the vineyards of Nitida Wine Estate itself, the picturesque setting lends itself to al fresco dining.

The Tables at Nitida has taken full advantage with a large, umbrella shaded al fresco dining area, tailor made for Cape Town’s long sunny days and lazy afternoons.

A cooling afternoon breeze was a welcoming combatant to the heat of the sun, making our table cool and comfortable.

I was hoping for something light for a starter and considered the tempting array of salads on offer, discounting the salad, I decided on the Tables meze platter, R90 with humus, red pepper humus, smoked aubergine dip, caramelised onion dip, calamata olives, chunky sun-dried tomato pesto and toasted pita.
