We have another new brewer making its debut this weekend: Sew Hop’d Brewery & Taproom in Huntley, so called because it’s opening in the plaza with Union Special, one of America’s oldest, and likely last, industrial sewing machine manufacturers. In fact, Union Special owners Terry Hitpas, Tom Bartel and Lance Lamb are part of the investment group that funded the beer maker’s buildout. Daily Herald.
